Privacy Policy

This policy covers execpods.com. It describes what we collect, where it goes, and how to have it removed. It is written to be specific rather than generic, so if something is not listed here, we are not doing it.

The short version

We collect information in three places, all of them forms you choose to fill in: the contact form, the white-paper signup, and the request to talk through your Coverage Check result. We do not use cookies, we do not run advertising or tracking scripts, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone for their own marketing.

What we collect when you contact us

The contact form asks for your name, company, email address, role, and your message. All five are required, because a message we cannot reply to is not useful to either of us. The form also contains a hidden field that real people never see; if it is filled in we discard the submission as automated, and nothing is stored or sent.

Submissions are delivered to a private ExecPods channel in Slack and, where you email us directly, to our Google Workspace mailbox. We use what you send to reply and to have a conversation about your business. We do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.

What we collect when you join the white-paper list

The signup asks for your email address, and optionally a first name. That is the whole record. We use it to send you the white paper when it is published and occasional notes from ExecPods. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us directly at any time.

What we collect when you request a conversation

At the end of the Coverage Check you can ask to talk the result through. That form asks for your name, your email address, optionally your company, and two times that would work for you, together with your time zone so we read those times correctly. Your Coverage Check score and answers are sent with it, because the request is to discuss them. We use all of it to prepare and to agree a time. Nothing books itself and nothing reaches a calendar automatically; a person reads the request and answers.

The Executive Coverage Check

The Executive Coverage Check is built so that your answers stay yours unless you decide otherwise.

• Your answers are held in your browser and scored in your browser. Taking the check sends us nothing at all.
• Nothing is saved between sessions. Closing or refreshing the page discards everything, which is why the check restarts rather than resuming.
• There is one exception, and only one. If you ask us to talk your result through, your score and your answers are sent with that request so we can prepare for the conversation. Taking the check alone never does this; only asking us to discuss it does.
• The white-paper signup never carries your result. Joining a content list is not consent to have an assessment attached to your contact record, and that form is built so it could not do so.

Where we hold a result, we use it to have a better conversation with you and for nothing else. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. It uses no local or session storage. There are no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no third-party scripts of any kind. The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than fetched from Google, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to a font provider.

We do not currently run any analytics. If we add analytics, we intend to use a privacy-preserving, cookie-free service and to record only anonymous, aggregate information. We will update this page before doing so.

Information collected automatically

Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. That includes your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is ordinary web-server logging, it is handled by Cloudflare under their own terms, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of services, and only these:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers it.
• Slack receives contact-form and signup notifications so we see them promptly.
• Google Workspace holds our email, and will host scheduling if you book a conversation with us.

Each of these processes information on our behalf so that we can run the business. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising or marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions and email for as long as we have an active or prospective relationship with you, and then for as long as we reasonably need them for our records. White-paper signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will do it.

Your choices

Write to [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will honour those requests regardless of where you are, because the amount of information involved is small and there is no reason not to.

Children

This site is aimed at people running companies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes to what we collect will be described here rather than made quietly.
